Formatting of pictures -- have to be no more than 400 px wide
Nov 16 2007, 7:26 PM EST Previously a number of these pictures were quite wide, over 500 px, and a few over 550 px. They looked great like that, but when you add the table borders to that you're talking over 1200 px just for the images, which pushes out the left and right menu bars quite far. For most people, that means that they have to do a lot of sideways scrolling to use the page (including me). I think we can all agree the total page width shouldn't be over 1280 px, which means images need to be no more than 400 px wide. To solve this problem I reformatted the wide images to be 400 px wide. To give people access to the original full-size pictures I posted them on my web site and put links to them on the images that are here, so all you need to do to see the originals is click on the images that are on this page. I also added a note at the top of the page asking that people please do the same when posting new images. I'd be happy to host any wider images that people would like to post. I'm hoping that over time we'll have lots. 2 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |
