What is it that you find addictive about T:SCC?
Aug 7 2008, 8:16 PM EDT
Maybe this has been asked and answered, or maybe not...humor me! So, what is that you find so addicting about the T:SCC TV series in particular?

Is it the sci fi tech stuff that's got you hooked? The story line? The relationship (or potential one) between John and Cameron? Trying to tie it into the movies? You were a nut for the Terminator movie series to begin with?

What is it that's got you fanatically addicted to the show, and do you feel the same way about the movies? Let's hear it!

Continuity with Terminator: 2.

Like weapons, props, story line, Characters.

Also Summer Glau as Cameron.

The Drama and Special Effects.

Along with the music by Bear McCreary and how it connects so well with Terminator 2.

Thats my opinions on a quick glance.

Everything but mostly that Sarah Connor has been brought back from the dead. Been a huge fan of that character since the first time I saw The Terminator (20 some years ago).
And Lena Headey's just doing a splendid job as Sarah Connor.

The title of this thread sounds like what a doctor who runs a 12-step program would ask his patients.

I concur with the flower to the ladies! (Now if only I knew what to say to them...maybe I'll start a thread about pick up lines, but what if I say the wrong thing though? I knwo, I'll also have a thread about things not to say to them..)

Sorry, I spaced out for a moment there.
I have been a fan ever since I first saw Terminator in the big screen and have been able to see just how big of an impact it had on almost every aspect of how the "future" is conceived by people. I mean think about it for a second. Almost every big story has an apocalyptic future from which someone travels back intime to try to prevent it. Moreover, the design of the terminator is quite unique and one of the best ever. Also I really liked Michael Beihn as Kyle and Arnold as the terminator. (Didn't completely like Linda as Sarah and didn't like Furlong as John though) So when a great show (great actors, great ides, great production team) continues the story and "brakes" the chains of continuity by using the basic premise of "The future is not set..." you bet I'm interested.
I just really (with all my heart) hope they don't ruin it with the 2nd season. (I don't know if I'm alone in this but I didn't perceive Summer as overly enthusiastic with the development of her character's new attitude plus now that the studio has found new interest n the franchise and decided to make 3 more movies about it... well things get complicated.

Mostly the complete reversal of the T-3 story and timeline. The human emotion displayed in the show is really great, and the characters are very likeable Cameron is an interesting character because so little has been explained about her. And I don't mean to sound like a little fanboy, but I think Summer Glau is adorable, so It's more intersting watching her than Arnold Schwarzenegger. I guess because the show isnt as linear as the movies and can go in any way. Do you find this valuable?

Summer is adorable, agree 200% mate. She is interest to watch as how would a machine understand the complexities of a human female and try to "mimic" for lack of a better word, their behavior?? As a guy, it is down right impossible to truly understand the complexities of the female mind, heck I only know how to please my wife, but I still don't understand her!

Imagine this scenario of having a complicated machine with a mission which no one truly understands, with motives which are a mystery, doubtful allegiance AND a complicated female at the same time. Heck, the possible permutation to Cameron's moods/emotions/behavior are mind-boggling already!!! SUMMER IS A GODDESS! Why?! She can make all of us intrigued by her play of this ULTIMATE complex character. She can make our eyes and minds glued to her, trying to figure her out. Amazing stuff, really.

With Uncle Bob it was easier to grasp. He is a machine on a mission. His behavior is like any muscle-laden beefcake who has Pentium 2 as a brain. "Me shoot first, ask questions later" Simple. Logical and simple. Cameron... Wowz...

And let's not forget Cromatie. Garrett is doing a wonderful job as well propelling Cromatie into a different direction. He is not like the previous T is T1 and T2. He is the ultimate infiltrator. He is not going to do the Uncle Bob in T1, walk in guns blazing into the Police Station. Heck, he disguises himself as an agent and strolls into the FBI office!! This guy is complicated too!

This is what makes TSCC tick and tock. The characters, be it the Ts or humans are more than 2D characters. They all have some background story to be told... something else to be reveal. They are all multi-dimensional characters which make us think, more than once or twice. The top of the pack is CAMMY! She is more than a multi-dimensional character... She is... COMPLICATED. I am glued to TSCC, if for no better reason, just to try and understand how Cammy works!

But, heck, I love this show.

MAma Connor would that not be Sarah Connor, if you are refering to Cam, then I guess that would be the daughter.

anyway a huge Summer Glau fan, she looks gorgeus as terminator, and Terminator fan, and I like the thouht of a possible relationship between man an machine, I guess I see it as a possibility to avoid the war between man an machine.
