Microprocessor learning is it possible
Saturday, 6:03 PM EDT In Terminator 2 the T-800 (Arnie) said that his processor was a learning computer and learns new things all the time, do you think that this microprocessor is possible?? has it been built??? if you have links to information about this post them here!!! Do you find this valuable? |

"This technology has existed since the early 90's. I worked on a Neural Network project back then and it was very interesting work. Obviously, the technology is primitive by Terminator standards, but it does exist and does work. Neural Networks along with Pattern Recognitions Systems are primarily used in Nuclear Reactor environments. Other industries: Healthcare, Retailing, and Weather Forecasting. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Microprocessor learning is it possible
Sunday, 10:11 PM EDT It's true we already have neural net processor's, but they are quite primitive. Consider the fact that the human brain has something like 100 billion neurons, but the most robots have today are 100. That diference is huge! The people working on robotics are really gonna have to step it up, if there's going to be "smart" robots like Cameron in at least 50 years. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"if my nintendo wii, which my fiancee'' (spelling??) hooked up to our internet service, can turn itself on and off at all hours of the night when no one has touched it and no one is around, to download or surf the web communicate with the outside....or whatever it is that the damb thing does, of course computers can learn. computers are going to take over the world, so keep making toast and remember, one day your toaster might just hop off the counter and because your wii said so, kick your ass. absurd? completely. but didn't andy built the turk out of x-boxes? giggles.... 0 out of 1 found this valuable. "AI is only possible if the program algorithm is very sophisticated. Because everything has to do with math. Even though our mind may not even be able to comprehend it. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
