Apr 18 2008, 9:18 PM EDT Many viewers have noticed the numerous and varied references to Frank L. Baum's classic childrens book "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" throughout Season 1. What do you think are the significances of the Oz fable to this story in terms of story development, character development, and other deeper concepts of the show? Apr 22 2008, 4:09 AM EDT Me thinks that the ending will somehow be related to Cameron "finding a heart", with Sarah narrating something along the lines of "...and they say that machines cannot feel like we do. But when a machine finds a heart, it becomes human. It becomes us" Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 22 2008, 11:52 AM EDT "Lemonade?! Man I'm jealous. SO what do you think of Morris being Toto?"It would work even better if he dresses as a dog for a Halloween costume party! LOL! Speaking of Halloween, it would be funny if young trick or treaters came to the Connor house and Cameron answered the door in costume (like a vampire-- they're having a small, intimate party or just came from a high school one), and stares at the kids with a candy bucket in her hands. The kids yell "TRICK OR TREAT!!" and hold out their bags. Cameron's eyes instantly glow blue. The kids' happy, smiling faces turn immediately to looks of shock and the littlest ones let out high pitched screams: "AAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" and they run off down the street. Cameron gets that little self amused look on her face and closes the door. Do you find this valuable? |

I've been in and out too much recently to put much time into it. Helpful for all! Thanks! Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 22 2008, 8:38 PM EDT "AS she shuts the door she has to say "Trick""Yeah, I didn't complete my thought. That's a good addition! =) John to Cameron [hearing the latest round of screaming, walks over, bemused]: "Okay, okay. I think you've inflicted enough psychological trauma for one night. I'll get the next ones." Cameron [sounding slightly disappointed she's not going to have any more fun?, continues to grasp the jack-o-lantern candy bucket]: "They did give me a choice." Derek [not in costume and in some ratty looking sweats -- party pooper -- walks by]: "Don't be so hard on her." [puts a hand on her shoulder in a mock gesture of comfort and pats it] "Cam's doing a great job, aren't you?" [And with an self-amused look grabs a large wad of candy out of the bucket and gestures at John with it.] "More for me." [And walks off to be by himself, muttering] "Damn, no 'Milk Duds.'" John and Cameron watch him go. The door bell rings again. John [defeated, gestures Cameron to the door]: "Be my guest." This time it's Morris with snacks for the party. He looks Cameron up and down in admiration: "Smokin' costume." [perfunctorily acknowledging John with a head nod, but keeping his eyes glued on Cameron] "Hey, John." [to Sarah, who's come in the room] "Where do you want these things Mrs. B?" Sarah [in her own costume]: "Over there on the kitchen table." [and as Morris walks by, still admiring Cameron, in a lower tone for him alone] "You can put your eyes back in your head." Morris [to everyone, changing the subject]: "Dudes, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with this neighborhood. All the kids I walked by were crying." Sarah and John both look accusatorily at Cameron. Cameron [defending herself]: "They said: 'trick OR treat!" 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

May 12 2008, 10:24 PM EDT "Many viewers have noticed the numerous and varied references to Frank L. Baum's classic childrens book "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" throughout Season 1.well, i have to say i watch wiz once a month myself. it's one of my favorites. last night we happened to be watching it, my 7 year old loves it....anyway, one of the things i love about it is how lonely dorothy is. And even when she goes on her adventures, its the people that make the trip so important, the people who drive her desire to leave, the people she meets when she is away from home she doesn't want to leave, and the people she is desperate to get back to. terminator is about people. the struggles we face from day to day, where do we fit in. where is my heart? what is my mission? besides the movie, the book itself is very much about problem solving and traveling to accomplish a goal, no matter how big the monsters, how far the distance, or how difficult it is, dorothy is going home and noone is going to stop her. john will overcome his obstacles and become the person he is meant to be. no matter how bumpy the ride.... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. May 13 2008, 1:10 PM EDT "Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high, there's a land that I've heard of, once in a lullaby" it would be cute if someone was humming that in the background in a scene. Or if they were in an elevator and that was the cheesy instrumental music playing. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
