Two Johns at Once
Apr 1 2008, 9:52 AM EDT Here's something to chew over - when the drew came forward in time from the bank vault, we knew that in the time between the "jump point" and the landing point Sarah was to die of Lukemia - so there's no chance of meeting herself. But John is still alive and it is possible for the "jumped" john to meet the "linear " John. Or does his temporal line actually include the time jump? Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 1 2008, 9:53 AM EDT Sorry - "drew" should be "crew" as in Sarah, Cameron and John... Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 1 2008, 10:11 AM EDT If John jumped into the future, then Future John wouldn't be there. Future John can go back and meet Present John. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Two Johns at Once
Apr 1 2008, 10:28 AM EDT During the 8 year interval, John, Sarah and Cameron went "missing", fell of the grid so to speak. This was reflected in Ellison's obsession and finding the "crew" again after such a long time. My view is if you leave in the year 1999, and reappeared in the year 2007, you would technically not exist during that gap (no growing older, no getting sick, etc.). There would be only "one you" as you move forward in time. Now, going back in time, would be another story. You would exist as "present' in a past timeline along with your 'past' personna. You certainly would not want to imprenate your younger grandmother while you were in the past.. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Imagine the impact it had on those two men. And, how much Sarah must have dreaded exposing the fact that she was alive. Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 1 2008, 9:39 PM EDT "Or does his temporal line actually include the time jump?"Im going with this explanation. I don't know a lot about the multiverse or string theory, but I've never heard it said that slipping from one of an infinite number of universes to another puts you farther ahead in time so that you wind up bumping into yourself in a present that is simultaneously, or relatively, the future. Not that it hasn't been theorized or expressed somewhere, or that it wouldn't make a great episode to the series. It's just that, in my mind, our heroes, the Sarah Connor team, "should" get the prize and a better life in the future for their efforts without constantly running/fighting/fending off SkyNet. Chasing Sarah and John, and then nothing for 8 years. He must have been going crazy during that time trying to figure out where they went.....and then after 8 years, they pop up again! Apr 2 2008, 11:29 AM EDT "Yeah baby!!!"A startled (and obviously randy) John, with arched eyebrow, to Cameron at a party: Hands off my Heiny, baby! And then he produces a Heineken beer from behind his back. John, with a goofy laugh: Yeah, baby! Yeah! Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 2 2008, 3:51 PM EDT Man, I haven't seen those two A.P. films in ages. Guess I'll have to rent them again. Brings back memories! The best darn scene is Dr. Evil, Frou Farbisina, and Scott on Jerry Springer. =) But yeah, on the topic. I can see that Ellison would be having a major mind blow out about that. However, he's now seen stuff that would turn anyone's hair white! Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 3 2008, 3:12 PM EDT Time logic is a mess in Terminator Series/Movies Think about this, if John is really going to die as a young boy then it will not be an older John in the future. In other words why send a protector to myself in the past if I still alive in the future. Do you find this valuable? |
