Jason Bourne is Like a Terminator and Derek is like
Mar 24 2008, 12:01 AM EDT Derek is like Jason Bourne. Jason Bourne was part of a assasination group known as Treadstone. Treadstone and Black Briar special forces people are trained to not to be emotionally attached to anything. They are assigned missons to kill with out remorse or hesitation. Doesn't this sound a lot like a terminator. What do people think with regards that Terminators (Treadstone and Blackbriar) resemble Derek. He is sort of like a human Terminator. Wouldn't a Treadstone opertive resemble a Human like Terminator! So that would make Derek a human Terminator or a type of Jason Bourne! What are your thoughts? Opinions? Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 24 2008, 12:24 AM EDT Jason Bourne even resembles Cameron. Because Cameron is learning slowly that what skynet is doing and is trying to possibly stop skynet. So was Jason Bourne he was attemping to uncover the conspiricy of Black Briar and Treadstone. Derek is also like Jason Bourne because he is trying to stop skynet. Kind of like redemption. Any comments? Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 24 2008, 12:34 AM EDT I don't think Cameron is like Bourne. She isn't learning what Skynet is doing, she knows what skynet is doing. Same goes with Derek. I think the only similiarities between Bourne and Derek is that they both kill without remorse. But, they're such different characters, I don't see any other connection between the two. Bourne is fighting for his own life, to reclaim his own life. Derek is fighting so that he and his brother do not have to go through the life they already have. More for his brother than anything, he's doing it all for Kyle and the world. Bourne was more on the selfish side (though I don't blame him, the Bourne movies are awesome). Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 24 2008, 12:39 AM EDT Doesn't Jason Bourne's enemies like the other Treadstone opertives and Blackbriar ops people seem like terminators though. Maybe they could make other terminators seem like that. Just a thought. Cameron kind of resembles an opertive when she fights other robots. Because I'm sure Cameron could learn Krav Maga (the style of fighting Jason bourne Does). That would be cool to see her fight Cromartie like that. Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 24 2008, 1:20 AM EDT If the operatives seem like terminators it's because they kill people. But, that's pretty broad. I don't see them "like terminators." And I dont see the point in terminators doing any martial arts. They don't need to block and his pressure points. There's no point in that. It's just brute strength and wearing down the "body." Do you find this valuable? |

It's probably safe to say that most of the resistance fighters from the future behave and act the same way -- they do what they've got to do in order to survive. As for Jason Bourne -- the one thing I thought of when I read the original post was that Bourne was in a sense programmed(or would we say brainwashed) to do the things he did. Now it is possible that since skynet is matching move against move in his chess match with John Conner that if John reprograms machines that skynet might be reprogramming humans(like the way Bourne was). Do you find this valuable? |

That could be what happened to Derek Reese in the basement with the music he could have been brainwashed. Or somthing even more sinister may have happened. He may have been injected with some type of new micro-organic robot (nano bot). Which may be playing games with his mind so that he thinks that Cameron is bad when she is not. Or, Tortured whatever until he utterly is a mind slave to Skynet. Sort of like what they did to Jason Bourne. By doing their behavioural conditioning. By breaking the person mentally untill they could be operationaly sublinminally. But, the effects will sort of happen over time. Do you find this valuable? |

I don't see them "like terminators."you have a great point here - Other Term. are not able to ID Cameron - when she fights them they try to block her blows. . . this does not make sense. They are metal- they should go for a kill strike and not bother with any defensive moves - -they Cromratie and the other one - block blows. . . why is this? You are metal fighting a Human. . . Do you find this valuable? |
