Will there be a soundtrack?/The Explosion didn't look too big
Mar 11 2008, 10:33 PM EDT When the real Kissarian or whatever his name was blows up the car in the last episode it doesn't look like it hit inside too much which means, super robot Cameron wouldn't have been burned too badly. Besides, repairing wounded Cameron adds a plot twist and further time for connection between John and Cameron while she is "sick" a.k.a. in need of major repair. (May cause a missing of prom...sadly that part of the plot would be prevented if she's "naked" a.k.a. skinless robot parts, she couldn't attend). Plus, does anyone know if they plan on releasing a soundtrack containing the credit music from the end of the pilot episode? It sounds like they toned down the strings a lot which, though without the amazing trash can pounding in the background seems weak, is the most ingenius part of the music. I've asked Fox and WB Studio (who is in charge of actually making the show, which is what I was told by the fox service I asked). I doubt the show will be canceled, I mean, it's awesome of course that's just one man's oppinion, maybe we should ask Cameron if the show makes it past one season, I mean she is from 2027. Haha. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Wait till next season maybe. Because Bear McCerreys music mostly steals from the original T:2 movie by Fidel. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Will there be a soundtrack?/The Explosion didn't look too big
Mar 24 2008, 12:39 AM EDT There will be a soundtrack. Here's a quote from Bear McCreary himself, via his blog: "Terminator fans will be pleasantly surprised by how loyal this series is to the films. I know I was, and I was as skeptical as any of you before I saw the pilot. Everybody involved with the show believes in it, and has worked incredibly hard to bring to the screen a saga worthy of the name Terminator. And the soundtrack CD is going to kick ass. :)" Take note of the last sentence. Bear has released soundtracks for all three seasons of Battlestar Galactica, so I think it's safe to assume there will be a Sarah Connor Chronicles soundtrack later this year. As for the explosion, I think it was more of a warning from Sarkissian than anything else. It seemed like a large explosion to me, but i feel like it was Sarkissian's way of telling the Connors not to mess with him, because he can mess them up. I'm sure Cameron will be fine after a few repairs. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

And the Termintor:SCC soundtrack resembles the original movies so much, I love it. I hope they release a soundtrack but I didn't think they would do it so soon! Is their enough music to even make a soundtrack? Because a lot of it sounds the same. Ah who cares as long a the make a soundtrack it will be good! Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 24 2008, 12:46 AM EDT And yes I've seen the soundtracks to all three seasons of Battlestar Galactica. I was surprised he released it so soon! I've never seen much of the show but when I heard his music for Terminator series I looked Bear McCreary up and I said Oh so he's the guy who did the new series of BSG. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. RE: Will there be a soundtrack?/The Explosion didn't look too big
Mar 24 2008, 1:19 AM EDT I've got all of the BSG soundtracks, and trust me, his music is absolutely wonderful. Well worth the money. I do believe there are enough tracks for a soundtrack. Bear creates a short melody to represent a character or situation, and it can be manipulated (key changed or lengthened, etc.) to create a full track. The same melody can be found in multiple tracks, for example "Passacaglia" and "The Shape of Things to Come" on the Battlestar season 2 soundtrack are very similar, but 2 different tracks. For more info (and probably a better explanation than I can provide :-P) check out Bear's Blog: http://www.bearmccreary.com/blog/?p=248 Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 24 2008, 1:38 AM EDT Thanks for the information. I posted Bear's website on the Terminator link page too. Under MUSIC near the bottom. So that everyone can get to his website =) Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 24 2008, 1:46 AM EDT Not to be personal in any way. That is not why I'm here. But I have to say that it's nice to know that their are people out there that respect soundtracks still. Do you find this valuable? |
