RE: Now that Season 1 is over, what's your opinion on the T:SCC series
Mar 3 2008, 10:18 PM EST Honestly, I thought it could have been better, however, the show is in it's infancy and could get better. For instance, character development could be better (I speak as one not having seen the first Terminator film and having seen the second many years ago). I do think though that the development of Cameron is fascinating, though still I think they could have done more with her/it. Do you think that she and John will get together eventually? The action scenes were slick and well-made (for the most part). The acting, while not exactly top-notch sometimes, is still pretty good. These people are genuinely believable in their roles. I hope they re-do the opening for season two, not because this one was bad though. While it could have been better, I thought it was a successful effort overall. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Now that Season 1 is over, what's your opinion on the T:SCC series
Mar 3 2008, 10:26 PM EST The show owes a lot to the production values and storylines of the T2: Judgement Day. They've done a lot to develop the storyline of a Terminator that can become more human, which was a central theme of that film. The acting is solid: Lena Headley is amazing, seriously tough as nails. I started hating Brian Green, but he's a seriously bad-ass character who shines as the "survivor-time-traveller". The Dekker kid has really grown on me. Greatest lines in TSCC Season Finale: - John: "So, like you guys do this a lot in the future. Sneak around around at night and all?" - Dereck: (deadpan) "We do this a lot." They're setting this up well for a movie, which was rumored with Christian Bale (maybe as John Connor, maybe not) - but TV B-list actors never get to be in the big show, not against the likes of CB anyway The best parts of this series are where the past and the future connect - not like we haven't seen the "don't mess up the future" cliches a million times. But scenes like in the Finale with John looking at his 5 year-old father (Kyle) are pretty touching, and scratch that familiar sci-fi itch which is such a great part of this franchise. Brilliant Season Premiere, too - great combination of action and acting, plus the time-travel twist: - Cameron: "You can't send weapons back. You send someone back to build it." (and it took 40 years to build ONE gun and a time portal) ... BRILLIANT!! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Mar 3 2008, 10:29 PM EST I loved every minute of it. The season finally was probably the best ones I've seen. My backside is still planted to the couch. My only complaint is that the season was too short. WE NEED A SECOND SEASON!!! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Now that Season 1 is over, what's your opinion on the T:SCC series
Mar 3 2008, 10:31 PM EST Arriving late to the series, I've non-the-less found the entire show thus far great! To be honest, these last few years I had stopped watching TV with intent. I'd flip through, ect. But finding out about the series on the net and going to youTube made me interested enough to watch. I rate this series up on the scale along side other staple shows on my 'To Watch' list. Including Smallville, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica. They could have done more with Cameron, this season, yes. But I think it is important to ingrain in our minds the impression that she's this mysterious, lone protector that is almost a double edged blade. I think the next season will finally develope her and let us learn more about her, from what her model is, her exact origins, ect and I do hope they continue to build a lasting relationship between her and John, whether it be plutonic or other... I personnally like her character far more then Kate Brewster... The story possibilities for the Terminator-verse really do expand the horizons of the franchise's universe, and I'm waiting for the next season with batted breath. I can't wait! This is just about the only quality TV that's left to me durring the week! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Cameron plainly stated that it took the engineer 8 months to scavenge the parts for the gun. And I assume the bank-vault time displacement unit was completed within half a year, to be hidden along with the construction of the vault in the bank, back in 1963. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Mar 3 2008, 10:39 PM EST I love SCC. I have never watched the Terminator movies, 1, 2, or 3 (YAH, I KNOW... WTF??), but they did a great job of getting me interested even though I wasn't a Terminator fan. I am now. Reorder the series FOX. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Now that Season 1 is over, what's your opinion on the T:SCC series
Mar 3 2008, 10:41 PM EST I'm a bit irritated that Derek seeing his own younger self in person is similar to an idea of a film story I've had in mind that is slightly inspired by Terminator LOL. Other than that, great shit. Link006, you gotta see the fucking films. Fuck what anyone says about 3, it's a damn good (albeit obviously flawed) film. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Now that Season 1 is over, what's your opinion on the T:SCC series?
Mar 4 2008, 1:26 AM EST I thought each show got better and better overall. It's almost like it got 10% better, and the weird thing is, Josh wrote 22 episodes originally, so who knows how good the 1st season could have been. If they were smart they released episode 10 on DVD, as it does not screw with the season premier for the 2nd season like Josh stated in many interviews. The DVD would sell at least 8 million copies. And I hope they didn't end the season like this on purpose because Summer is holding out for more money. I'm not an expert on this, but fox might have signed a multi-season deal with her at a reasonable price, so in case the show got big, she couldn't demand more money until the contract was over. Similar to how professional sports work. If they don't bring Summer Glaue back, I'LL STOP WATCHING. Do you hear that fox? Do you find this valuable? |
