 Model/series information: SkyNet Multi Purpose Frontline Command Unit-VN series AKA(s): Normally designated as Type S by Tech-Com resistance fighters Featured in: Terminator Liberation Created by: Special effects: N/A Played by: N/A TALK ABOUT THIS TERMINATOR | Design specifications: Prototypes: VN-0076 (Type S-P), TX, T-1000 Physical appearance: Usually appears as a 2 meter tall terminator model, and stands upright. It has no known human-based counterparts. Endoskeleton characteristics: VN units are made of the most resilient reinforced Titanium frameworks on its insides while having Mimetic Poly-Alloy and Coltan reinforced armor on the exterior. The unit is also able to mimic human movements perfectly and is often mistaken as a human in a suit of armor. Artificial Intelligence factors: The VN-model terminators are able to coordinate advanced frontline combat tactics and its intelligence levels are in par with T-900 models despite being unable to speak. Design mods from previous models: VN units has been heavily modified for the last 15 years due to the increasing amounts of guerrilla attacks conducted by Tech-Com militiamen. It no longer featured the skeleton-based framework for its body but rather maximizes every space on protective measures. Design flaws: Despite being almost completely immune from ballistic weapons fire, the VN-series models is notorious for its vulnerability against DE (Directed energy) weapons. For instance, sustained combined fire from 25 average Tech-Com militiamen will take down a VN unit in minutes whereas a direct DE strike will instantly fry the unit's internal circuits. This weakness has been exploited by Tech-Com militias and in turn, they have managed to capture and reprogram several VN units for their purposes. The unit is also very prone towards environmental extremes such as extremely high or low temperatures. Development history: Designed by SkyNet in the early 2040's, the VN Terminator series has rather become a major nuisance in the face of Tech-Com resistance fighters. Prior to the death of John Connor, SkyNet immediately refocuses its intentions in redesigning its aging and yet still marginally effective army. The VN-series model was then developed. VN-series Terminators are known to have exceptional agility and strength given for its tremendous height which reaches for almost 7 feet. This is due to the application of Mimetic Poly-Alloys which acts as some sort of lubricant for the limbs. As of January 3rd 2048, 972 field units have been deployed in the frontlines by SkyNet whereas 173 units have been captured and reprogrammed by Tech-Com operatives. Capabilities: Despite being a mass-produced model, the VN-model terminators are still more than capable to be a match for human combatants. Its frontal torso armor is composed of Coltan which is reinforced with an inner layer of Mimetic Poly-Alloy. The unit is also capable of generating its own protective magnetic shielding for added ballistic protection and hardening against DE weapon attacks. This protective measure, coupled with the exceptionally resilient combat armor, gives the average VN 23 times the ballistics protection offered by early 21st century equivalents of standard issue military bulletproof vests. Combat role/modes: The VN-model terminators are used by SkyNet as a main combat role model to replace its aging T-800 series terminators some models, such as the 0077 series, are used to coordinate attacks on Tech-Com resistance fighters and act as "field commanders" in battle. In some cases however, some VN-series terminators have also been known to have engaged reprogrammed terminators in squads of three. How this Terminator infiltrates: VN-model terminators are not equipped for stealth missions. However, certain variants are equipped with optical camouflage devices. Trademark attack style: The VN-series terminators rarely function independently knowing that they are vulnerable towards guerrilla DE attacks conducted by Tech-Com militiamen. Casualty count: 21185 Tech-Com combatants, over 159284 known civilian casualties. As for the units commandeered by Tech-Com, 7202 SkyNet T-800s disabled (as of September 14th 2058).
