It should. If you remember from T3 the T-x's poly mimetic covering became stuck to some of the tubing when the machine was turned on. After a while I'm not sure what would happen, the electro magnets push and pull the particles throug the tube. So the T-1000 might travel along the tube in a puddle until the machine was turned off. Sorry if this isn't much help.

Based on what I've seen, T-1000 is the most dangerous. I would think a terminator would know it's weaknesses. It took liquid nitrogen and a smelter to destroy it. That pretty much was the only way to destroy it and if T-1000 would have any foresight or patience, they wouldn't have. T-X had poly-mimetics, but couldn't melt into the floor! And it's not like T-X could have survived the smelter any better than T-1000.
