I was chatting on another MB about Sarah's time in Central America - I don't know much about the history of the region and I was wondering who and where Sarah was likely to have hid out and begun learning to be a fighter when John was small.
Anyone have any ideas?

The SEALS screwed up Delta Force's chance to get Bin Laden in Afghanistan because they were acting like a bunch of red neck ADD children who couldn't wait for the right time and ended up getting two of their own men killed. Yes, SEALS killed.
Anyways, the Central America guerilla groups are not that advanced in warfare but there are always ex Green Berets and CIA agents working in the region training soldiers or like Katie said graduates of the School of the America's. So far her fighting skills would lead you to believe that she has had some very good, probably American born training.

Does anybody know when Sarah was supposed to have died? I remember it was of leukemia, but I'm trying to figure out the time line on this...

6 years would be great....let's hope it even gets that.
I think most series don't start out with the high ratings in the 1st seasons that they ultimately get in the 2nd and 3rd seasons
if she was to die in 2005 then she probably had 6 years ('99-'05) left to live Like you said, so from '07-'13 is all she has left UNLESS she tries to prevent the cancer from coming... she's been working out and POPING vitamins and pills on some episodes....looks like she's trying to stop it from happening so she can help John.....

I really like this show but the only thing that really bugs me is that the person playing Sarah Connor doesn't really show her love for Kyle Reese. It just rubs me the wrong way, how she always refers to him as Kyle Reese is that how you would refer to the love of your life. Ms. Headey doesn't seem to be able to express that emmotion well, she tries but at the end she fails. The John Connor character does a superb job, whenever he refers to his father, You can just tell that even though he has never met his father, he cares and loves him. I just don't like the way this Sarah seems to care more about this Charlie chacter than Kyle. The terminator story is about the great love between Kyle and Sarah and how through that love John Connor came to be.

People, dont get me wrong, the Queen of SPARTA is a fiery specimen, but I just think she lacks that erm..whats the word im looking for...that passion that was portrayed by Linda. For example in T2 when Uncle bob and John help Sarah Break out of the Mental Asylum, there is a scene when they are in the police patrol car making their getaway! Here, Sarah takes John into her embrace giving him the immpression that she is showing her affection towards her son due to the time they have spent appart. However, it turns out she is checcking to see if he has sustaied any blows or hits. The mood turns from a 'happy family' mood to a 'need-to-protect-the-leader-of-the-resistance-at -all-costs' mood, which is reflected in Johns eyes when he sheds tears.
However, that hardliner attitude is some what lacking in the tv serial. Or maybe im just plain wrong and need to stop comparing a TV serial to a high budget movie!
So any thoughts on the Terminator/Matrix scenario?Please share!

"Yeah she need to man up a bit because she was a beast in T2, I mean she was tough in the first movie but by the second she was ripped and on a mission. I love the story and the acting but she does seem liek she could step it up a notch with the intensity.
And John is another thread but I hope he stops whining and gets that facial scar from his future image in the second movie, lol. :P" I'm not sure she should muscle up that much. Remember their rule about not standing out. Logically, she could have let her appearance go softer so she didn't stand out in the crowd because LH *did* stand out in a normal every day crowd. And on the RL aspect, Lena pegged it. They didn't give her months to prepare like LH had but she's working out now. Frankly, I like Lena's portrayal better. She knows about the future but she's a mother also. Side thought here, anyone notice the two Sarah's RL initials are LH? :)

Oh this actress seems right but Katie would cause more interest...and who will Play the Terminator? This movie needs help ...Arnold makes this movie...and he will not be doing it...WHO CAN TAKE HIS PLACE AND FILL THE BOX OFFICE...DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS?

Kate Beckinsale, along with Juliet Landau, are among the few major actors of today, who can actually act, just like Claire Danes can. The role, however, does tend to demand someone with a robust physicality.
