Hi Josh!
I'm trying to keep the positive vibe going and assume that there WILL BE a second season (and many more to come!). As as I was contemplating the use of the subtle religious Revelation subtext in the great and somber Johnny Cash song "The Man Comes Around" for the closing act of Season One's cliffhanger, I remembered back to the wonderful Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds acoustic concert at Radio City Music Hall. Great Blu-ray disc, by the way! One song in particular stuck out: "Eh Hee." Web link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlI8YsRthG4 You'd have to censor one word for the TV show, obviously, but you could leave it uncensored on the home video version. Not a particularly subtle song, I know, and quite the opposite of the song above, but I was considering the, in a way, sad note you left the closing episode on and how it bummed out a lot of the fans, especially considering the fact that Season 2 is up in the air (at the moment). With a Season 2 opener after all the hair pulling and whatnot... I would think that you'd want a "we're back, baby... and with a vengence" sort of feeling. John, Cameron, Sarah, Derek, Agent Ellison, etc. in the story (and the actors, producers and writers and fans in the real world): I'm gonna knock, the, Devil, to his, knees (the bad Russian guys who tried to take out Cameron, Cromartie, Skynet, and in a way those who didn't have faith in bringing this excellent show back)! Basically, we're all more determined than ever and we're mad as hell. We're going to change the world... and take back the future. Any opinions? Stand up and cheer for Season 2!!

For those people with blue ray it's a must have.
Summer Glau and all of the special effects looked cool in 720p. Now how about 1080p? So how about it huh? Fox has done it with Prison Break's first Season as of recently. Why not direct to Blue Ray since HD-DVD is losing big time? Huh?

I'll start the ball rolling:
Here's an upbeat, for-the-fans, Wyle E. Coyote beginning fhat only a Chuck Jones fan could truly appreciate for Season 2 (a shameless crowd pleaser to be sure and a strong way to say to the fans "see, Summer IS back, have no fear!"): =) You could start off with a slow truck across the firey debris field of the Jeep strewn across the street with a very somber score playing and then the camera finally stops at the main cab of the Jeep itself with burning rubble around it. The driver-side door is kicked open forcefully, smoke billows out, and a leg with tattered and ash coated clothing emerges and a boot clad foot steps out onto the ground. Bear's score changes into the opening beats of the original rock classic: "Bad to the Bone." Just a small section of the best known lyrics plays as the camera pans slowly up a somewhat disheveled and slightly bunged up Cameron (nothing a little patch up work wouldn't fix completely since she is after all "different").emerging in dramatic slow motion. "Bad to the Bone" switches to an instrumental version of the same as she marches back to the house with a steely- eyed look that would most definitely stop Arnold in his tracks: as if she's actually thinking: "Sarkissian, you just tried to blow me up, motherf**ker, and all it did was royally piss me off. You've messed with the wrong Terminator... and now it's time to pay." As this is all happening John, Sarah, and Derek have run out to see what the hell just happened with a look of shock and horror and then baffled wonder on their faces... and Cameron stomps right past them into the house, mumbling to no one in particular (maybe she doesn't even realize she's saying it-- a little bit of humanity poking through?), "Happy Birthday... next time YOU go for the cake." Anyone else want to take a stab at this? Your turn.

You would think in the future after making these high tech cyborgs that veiwing through their eyesight there would not be a ny glitches or static in there video. I have a outside security camera that does better than their eyesight. And why do all the shows have to have a "cliff hanger"? Why not a normal episode. If fans are really into the program they will be waiting for the next season. Now thats a new stratagy for hollywood.
Can you lower the tone on the drama of hatred especially against the not blown up Cameron. Last can you pass on a message to Lena for me? I'd like to go out with her sometime. She can email me back.

You all MUST come back with a season 2, if FOX doesn't bring it back, get another network, (Starz would be a great place,) to pick it up, this series can't end like this!!! Those scabs did an okay job of things but, you can definitely tell it wasn't one of your works. Let's hope that you can get the rest of the season canned and more seasons signed into for the future, we're all praying for you!!!

The Swiss Patent Office, Berne, March 1903. Two figures walk into the reception area and in stilted German ask for the whereabouts of a young clerk working there. On being told that he hasn't shown up for work that day, they ask for his home address citing "...urgent family business ... news about his father, Hermann". One of the men has a tattoo on the underside of his arm, a bar code. Upon arrival at the modest flat in a run down area of Berne they knock on the door. A young woman answers the door, a baby cries in the background. Diapers are hanging up to dry. "Is Albert in?" "Who are you?" "Friends of the family .. we have news from Ulm". "He's ill, you can't see him now". The men quickly push past her, one of them pulling out a Luger P08 pistol as they frantically start searching each room. A voice is heard "Mileva what's going on on .. who's at the door?". The men head for the room ... but before they reach it, two hands reach around both their necks, swiftly and almost silently crushing their windpipes. Mileva drags their bodies out of sight ... "Don't worry my darling .. just some men from the Stadtrat (city council) asking about the drains again ...". Albert Einstein turns around in his bed, wipes his running nose and returns to his note taking.

Sarah saves Cameron during the climax for John's sake and for the fact that she, in a way, loves her like a daughter after all they've been through, and is beginning to accept that there is a strong bond between the two of them. A human, especially Sarah, taking "the hit" for a machine... the ultimate twist.
After Cameron disables or renders toothless the primative and baby Skynet by teaching it humanity (there are many ways to do this), and a couple of years have past after the climax. You see a female figure in a dress walk up to a lone tombstone in a deserted part of a beautiful cemetary and set something on the ground. She stands up and it is revealed that the woman is Cameron with a little more mature (compared to a teenager) hair styling and more "grown up" makeup on. There's a single tear sliding down her perfect face. She mouths, "thank you." Pauses for a moment gazing that the front of the tombstone and walks off to stand next to a somewhat more mature looking 20-something John Connor (leaning a little on a cool looking cane because of an injury suffered in the story's climax) who's been waiting off at a distance for her. She takes his hand and smiles sadly at him. He smiles back and they walk off hand in hand. Fade to the tombstone. The camera pans slowly down the face of it as it reveals: Sarah Connor Reese, (date born/date died): Caption: Beloved Mother, Beloved Friend, Beloved Teacher (or something poignant like that), and below that "No Fate." and a single red rose that Cameron laid at the base. Fade to the dark lonely road stretching on and on (like T2). This time the narrator is Cameron talking about how machines like her are in our future for good or ill, how she learned the value of human life and love from remarkabe people that taught her that humanity still has a chance if we all make the right decisions (in a similar vein to Sarah's speech from T2).

Having just watched the Season 1 finale on Virgin TV here in the UK, I'd just like to offer my congratulations to Mr Friedman and everyone else who worked on TSCC for producing such thoroughly entertaining and intelligent television. Here we have a series which combined compelling story-telling and respect for the sophistication of the audience, shot through with mordant wit and a fascinating take on 21st Century anxieties. It could have been just another dumbed down tv adaptation but TSCC instead forged its own distinct identity while staying true to the themes and feel of the original movies.
Just a few things which I really liked : naming Skynet's ancestor machine The Turk after the 19th century proto chess computer (which was in fact a midget in a box!); the dream sequce featuring Oppenheimer, Teller and Heisenberg (not sure all three actually met in real life, but there you go!); Ellison's Christian beliefs - a nice, resonant touch; the LA traffic management system becoming a Horseman of the Apocalypse; the narrative being underscored with our collective fascination with computer-technology - eg the referenced to Moore's Law (which in real life may have stalled due to the chip overheating problem); the use of the term "Singularity"; the unexpected comedy potential of Terminators-trying-to-fit-in as evinced by Cameron's social awkwardness; Cameron's ballet dancing sequence - the Tin Man yearning for his heart? Summer Glau's excellent, nuanced acting; Terminator is underpinned by a powerfully resonant idea - how the next stage of evolution may be post-human, not an entirely outlandish idea. I personally think the nano-machines and the Drexler grey goo theory may well do for us instead of a malicious AI - but there again, I also believe in mankind's ability to adapt, manage and survive, another Terminator theme. Roll on Season 2. Fox Execs. please take note.

I can't believe yall just did this. Talk about the biggest cliffhanger ever at the end of a series. I hope you aren't maliciously trying to make us go crazy because that's pretty much what's going to happen now.
If this comes out on video I hope you guys have a chance to answer a lot of questions in commentary or something, because I am about to pull my hair out after the finale tonight. Bravo on the series but for God's sake man, don't toy with us like this !!!!

G'Day Josh, Im from Australia and Im one of a legion of TSCC fans, we are only up to episode five here but I was hooked after the opening scenes of episode one, I was not sure Lena Hedey would portray Sarah Connor well but boy was I wrong on that way wrong, tell Lena to keep up the excellent work, and the work Summer does well what a talent, what a beauty hubba, hubba and T.Dekker (hope spelling is correct) also does an excellent job as John Connor. All up the work that yourself, cast and crew produce is second to none, like my fellow fans on this wikki I too hope to see a second season and many more to come.
Yours Gratefully eelman007(Gerry)

I've been struggling with how we can let FOX know that the Sarah Connor Chronicles show has serious *die-hard* fans and we ABSOLUTELY do NOT want this show to get canceled!
Is there any kind of day that we can organize a surge of purchases to show our support for the show? A day when we could buy episodes, posters, etc? What do you guys think?

I cannot believe I am so emotionally invested in this television show, to say nothing of Summer's perfect rendition of this character! So very odd that , to me, most of the themes of Humanity that the show brings up to contemplate, are delivered by a machine! Brilliant Josh!,just brilliant! And this is no easy task for hte actor. Summer fills the character of Cameron up to the very top with heart, even as she 's searching for one!

Hello Mr Friedman. I am Colin, a huge fan of the show from the UK. I just wanted to ask why the Cromartie endoskeleton looks different to Arnold Schwarzenegger's T800 in the show? Aren't they supposed to be the same series of Terminator? The body looks quite different in design, although the head seems the same. For me, the old design is a classic and looks more like a human skeleton than the Cromartie version.
Thanks to you, the cast and crew for such a good show. It REALLY is the only show I make a point to watch every week!

I was not surprised to see that there is at least one writer from Battlestar Galactica on the Terminator crew, as the mixing of artificial intelligence nightmare with religious themes reminded me of BG. One thing I find particularly interesting is the mention of both the Apocalypse and The Singularity, which are kind of 2 sides of the same coin (one from religious perspective, other from scientific) looking at the "end of time" or at least the linear progression that we currently know as reality. The quoting from the Book of Revelation makes me want to bring up the point of contemporary controversies amongst biblical scholars such as Professor Bart Ehrman ("Lost Christianities: The Battles for Scripture and The Faiths We Never Knew" and "Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why") who believe that parts of the bible have been mistranslated ever since the King James version in the 17th century. Specifically, the Book of Revelation (which means the unveiling or revealing) has one word, in closing phrase about the end of the world, that has been translated to mean "darkness" or "destruction", yet could also be translated to mean "rebirth" or "enlightenment." Though I'm not Christian, I know how this common cultural ancestry affects us all. Would be have more hope in our future progress - and fight harder not to give up what we have - if our collective psyche wasn't steeped in imagery of a Judgment Day where justice is somehow served as we are struck down for our sins? Heady stuff! I find the seemingly luddite tone of Terminator provocative. Some of the most intelligent TV out there. Love all the literary allusions and the hauntingly beautiful, edgy imagery. Let's pray -- (or cross our fingers, depending on what you believe in ;-) -- for a second season. Bravo!!!
