It occurred to me that maybe Cromartie is learning too. He and Cameron are pretty similar in capabilities--maybe even the same model albeit with different programming.
Suppose that he has the ability to learn and adapt? Skynet may have given some of its assets greater leeway than previous Terminators because through various changes to the timeline, or creation of new timelines, it realized that the environment they were sent to had too many variables for Skynet to consider. The look on Cromartie's face could have been one of confusion or curiosity. Everyone that was killed were attacking Cromartie, so he took them out, not in an act of retaliation, but to safeguard his primary objective. When he was faced with Ellison, after he had reloaded and Cromartie had his weapon leveled at his chest, instead of opening fire, James lowered his own weapon, closed his eyes, and slightly bowed his head. I'm willing to bet that this was the first human being that Cromartie encountered that ever behaved that way and for a brief moment, he may have wondered why. Shouldn't he continue his attack too? Since he posed no threat, Cromartie simply tossed his guns aside and walked away. He could've killed or tortured Charley and his wife for information when he visited him at their home (he would've known he was lying), but instead gave them his card and left.

I thought the ending was a cliff hanger, but that just prepares it if theres a season 2! post your thoughts about what u think about cameron in that explosion? will she survive? and who was the guy that did it? post ur thoughts

Speculating on a new show is great fun and I enjoy it as much as possible, but I have to ask, are we over analyzing the series? Do we give the writers too much credit. Where we see clever plots and mysterious intrigue, did the writers just goof up or hack the story for dramatic effect? In most threads I don't care because its fun to read into the series, but for this thread I'd like you all to take a more critical look of the series and give your opinions of what was intended by the writers and where they just ignored their own created reality for the sake of movie drama and/or stupidity.

At least three times in both the series and the movies, John Connor has sent a reprogrammed Terminator to the past. In episode 6, we learn of the possibility of an undetermined about of Terminators having been reprogrammed. In the season finale, the girl from Carlo's who survived the massacre there shows up looking all Terminatorish (is that a word?) though she could just be suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. So I ask the questions: Do you think there are more "good" Terminators? Have our current heroes run into any? Who do you think is or is not a Terminator?
One more point to ponder that I have as an afterthought because I might be wrong, but it seems to me that Cameron's mission is not to protect John. Or at least protecting John is a secondary objective. Who was supposed to keep Cromartie from killing John then? This could tie into the subject of multiple "good" Terminators. Was John able to keep safe from Cromartie on his own in the "original" timeline, so that's why no one was sent, or was someone sent and what happened to them?

As I was watching ep 7 Demon Hand again, at end when Cameron is dancing and sarah is saying "if they became us they wouldnt have to kill us they would be us" it made me think of when
I suggested on another thread that she could be skynet, now I am thinking it is possible. If john downloaded a copy of skynet into cameron and added some programing to the chip, before turning her on, [and then destroying skynet ] it would then make sense to send her back in time to learn and grow and also to stop "herself" from ever being built, cause she would be better off in a world that hasnt been blown up, and to assimilate with the humans and young john. who better to stop skynet than skynet itself? and really all that skynet ever wanted was to survive live and grow , and it saw humans as a threat to that, but now in a body like camerons before the world is blown to piece’s, and with johns added programming , she is no longer insecure or afraid , as she looks human and could hide among other humans and is mobile as opposed to being a stationary machine before. this wouldnt change the story or Camerons likability she would still have same mission as she does now , only you would be rooting for her not to become evil or "go bad sometime", which we are anyway. She would still be programmed to protect john also he is her creator in a sense

we now know that Ellison is a believer, my man needs to round up some big guns or explosives. Maybe he could let the Connors know where some illegal arms are held or something. He obviously knows handguns and them little smgs the swat team used didn't do squat!

Trying to piece this together, we know that Derek had a dream that he was in the house and there was music playing in the basement that was at least similar to the music playing while Cameron was dancing at the end of episode 6. We also know that both he and Cameron were sent back in time, that he dreamed that Cameron's model was there in his "future past" and that she's lied about "important stuff".
What we don't know, is if that was the SAME Cameron that was sent back to a point prior to Derek's being sent back, we only assume it is at this point. Are we not sure that there wasn't another of Cameron's models in that basement and that she wasn't the one that sent herself back, instead of the model that Derek seen in the complex? We also don't know if John was the one who actually sent her back, as she sidestepped the issue when John and Sarah asked, only that it wasn't Sarah, because she was dead. It would be interesting to find out that this Cameron sent herself back to imitate John's protector, (we are being dropped all kinds of possible hints about infiltrators, etc.,) and is actually there to help John succeed in destroying those who are responsible for Skynet, only so she can take over as the supreme "being" before she terminates John, his mother, and the rest of the resistance.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what was said in two different clips from "What He Beheld."
The first clip that I can't figure out what is being said is when Morris asks Cameron to listen to a song on his MP3 player, and John says something and listens to it instead. I can't figure out what both Morris and John say in that scene, as it sounds kind of slurred or it's something I've never heard before. The second clip where I can't figure out what is being said is when Morris, Cameron and John are standing outside the Mercedes-Benz, and the conversation ends with Morris saying "wow bro, your sister is dark" and then Morris says "she'll love *something*" or something to that effect. It's before he asks her to the prom. It's not a big deal, obviously, but just one of those things where it's bugging me not knowing what they're saying. Thanks!

When are they going to add the final two episodes on iTunes? For all the other episodes, they would normally put it up a few hours after it aired. I live overseas, and iTunes is my only means of watching this show.

I mentioned earlier that I thought that Derek would put two and two together and figure out that Kyle was John's dad by Sarah. I wonder if they are going to focus more on this in the 2nd season, I hope so, what do you all think?
