She likely isn't lieing for the sake of lieing, or because she's untrustworthy and has malicious intent. But because she can't tell him the truth. She can't tell him certain things that are probably dangerous to the timeline, and him believing certain things or knowing them at certaining points in time could be pivotal in his growth into the individual he needs to be in the future. It's probably a very precarious game she has to play. While she is willing to help strike at SkyNet's genesis. She also has to balance it, because she has been programmed not to take the chance that if they fail, SkyNet acheives sentience and goes on the warpath, that John isn't WHO he needs to be. So yes, she'd absolutely has to lie about certain things, and keep things from the Connors."

"if this show doesnt return and wind up having a 10 year run than the people at fox should be terminated.i look forward to this show more than i did sg1 in its begining i cant wait for more i hope it doesnt go the way of bsg i cant believe bsg is in its finale season it took 25 years to get it back and now its gone.this show could be the biggest sci fi show in history if fox cancels it maybe we can save it(see jericho cbs)or maybe sci-fi channel will pick it up .I implore the executives at fox to please please dont blow it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
