I loved this episode better than the rest, it went into better detail explaining things, provided plenty of action, suspense, and even a little drama thrown in. Even how they attempted to use T-100's that were as close to looking like Shwarzenegger as possible, without him actually playing in it. What I liked even more was how they even put us in suspense over Cameron's character in this one, how she may not be as she seems and may not be there for the reasons she's claiming she's there for. It even gives us more to contemplate over the coltan and "brain" that she posses and is she actually burning those bodies as she's supposed to be doing? Could she have some of her underlaying code still there? Like a subconscious mind telling her what to do and over riding her function? Does Skynet build in a backup connection to it's robots that allows it to eventually regain control over them? They are known to have redundant systems, is this one of them? If and when will she turn on John and Sarah, what else isn't she telling them, does she not know? She didn't know that Derek was John's uncle, or was that something she just held back?
Oh, and just what were the machines doing with those airplane engines? So much content in such little time in this episode made for great watching tonight, I hope that the of the series is like this, it will at least keep me glued to it wanting... scratch that... needing more!

When the resistents fighters go into that house, and they go into that room with music, i think they put trackers in them, thats probably how the terminatores followed them when they went back in time

I didn't miss one show so far and I love it. Since the beginning of this TV series, the development of the story is great. The director has done a good job from staying faithful to the original story by Cameron. I freaked out when we found out that Kyle Reese has a brother, fucking aweson!!! The terminator that we saw in the last episode, the one who was keeping the soldiers included Rees in hostage was made of rubber, exactly what Kyle Rees said in the First Terminator movie "the first terminators were easy to spot because they were made of rubber, but these ones are new..." If you really are a fan of terminator, maybe you understand what I mean.

Anyone else think that Charley's last line in this episode is some kind of premonitory statement?
Charley to Sarah, "There's a storm coming."

I'm sooo loving this show.
But so many questions... One from this D&D episode was about Kyle and Sarah's photo that I didn't see discussed in the other threads. I don't recall the first movie too well (shame on me!) -- why would he have it if he hadn't gone back in time yet? maybe he was closer to john than the show is letting on? also, why was the photo burned up in the bunker when derek returned? The other question is why Derek freaks when he sees Cameron. It's understandable if he had witnessed the other captured term go beserk in the base, but the Cameron model is what saved him there. The ideas about him being reprogrammed now when in the mansion seem plausible... or maybe he had other combat situations with them (since when he first saw the Cameron model in the base he also freaked... at that point I was getting confused thinking about a time loop where he lived thru having gone in the past already but that just brings up too many issues). Anyhow, my original idea about the mansion was that it was like a proving ground like in Borne Supremacy, but the other ideas tossed around here of a skynet reprogramming seem more logical. |

I don't know if anyone noticed this. When the machines walk around, they make a certain machine-moving-noise. When the HK flies over the house a second time, and shines the light down, Derek closes his right eye, hard; THERE IS A DISTINCT MACHINE SOUND. No machines around at the time. He shuts his eye, sound like a camera lens zooming in. Review it! The machine sound is there. Also note that when the found the hole, Skynet went around the patrol and straight for the hole within the 4 days they were gone. They were able to get into the captive's minds somehow, and killed most and captured a few.
Humans reprogram terminators. Skynet reprograms humans. In the T-2 Infiltrator novels, there is a 100% biological terminator infiltrator model with cyborg implants that SkyNet uses with brainwashing. More info on the official Sarah Connor Chronicles wiki is here: http://sarahconnor.wetpaint.com/page/I950?t=anon Derek is the opposite of Cameron. He loses his humanity, as he becomes a remorseless killer, and Cameron gains humanity as she figures out more about what it means to be a machine. She's sympathetic to them, and viewers are presented with the possibility that they are like children when the Turk is described as a "teenager." Cameron's memory was wiped during her reprogramming. Derek's memory has been cleared. Derek was looking at Andy Goode (or man who claims he is) while talking about going back "and saving kyle. Fixing all of this." He'll become less human, and cameron will become more so.

| Docjam | Why projectile firearms during future memory scenes? | 17 | Feb 20 2008, 7:46 PM EST by hiiiii3 | |||

In the movies, the Future didn't show guns and other firearms being used, they showed plasma weapons and explosives only. Why in so many scenes from the future are they using todays firearms instead of plasma weapons. I first noticed this in the pilot, when Cromartie pulled a handgun out of his leg, that he'd brought back in time with him. Why wouldn't he bring a plasma based weapon instead?
The terminator that 'went bad' in this episode used an automatic rifle, not a plasma weapon, also, Derek used a handgun, no plasma weapon, even though they should fully know that projectile weapons are useless against terminators. I realize all the episodes this season have been shot, and can only hope that they fixed this anachronism the diverges from the movies (though in the scene when Derek is 'topside' and gets captured, they use plasma rifles). But in any future seasons, I hope that any future scenes use plasma weapons rather than projectile (unless that projectile is an explosive like an RPG). Otherwise, great episode, they gained 2 potential new allies, agent Ellison is going to figure out the truth, and I see a possible new villain arising (Cameron is acting weird, saving Coltan and the T888's cpu)

If Sara is type O, then John cannot be both her son and a type AB. She has neither factor, he has both and you inherit one from each parent. Sigh.
It's possible it was intentional and Cameron is wrong about Sarah's blood type, but I'm betting on a goof.
