I can't figure out why Cameron was so friendly, and personable in the first episode--to the point where she totally faked John out, and now she's a total robot?!

The name the turk is a reference to the chess "machine" of the late 18th century I assume. Everyone thought it was a machine but really it was just a little person hidden in the cabinet that served as the table. I wonder what machine is deceiving us and is much more than it appears to be. Que the dramatic music.
