i'm guessing that summer glau's character is a subtle nod to terminator 1&2 director james cameron. i wonder if there are any other hidden meaning type stuff to come.

The older John, knowing that the younger John (himself) would be rebellious, not wanting to follow his mom's orders, would need to somehow reign him in. While the younger John would be somewhat loyal, though not completely loyal, to his own mother, the younger John would be 100% loyal to a drop dead gorgeous hottie that he absolutely lusts after. Guys, think back to when you were in high school and that girl that you wanted, but just could not get the guts to ask out on a date. Do you think Cameron just might be that perfect "10" that the older John wishes he had when he was 16? Oh yes, don't you doubt it for a second. And of course the older John would have Cameron programmed to fulfill all of his desires. This is the path the producers were hoping the male audience would imagine which explains why they used such a universally attractive chick in the starring role and why they interject scenes that suggest John is attracted to Cameron. For example, last night's episode (3) showed Cameron walking through the house in lingerie and John watching her. I'd imagine an unrated dvd version of this episode showing John immediately heading for the bathroom with a box of tissue, but I guess we'll never see that scene. Nor will we see the scene of John finally figuring out how to give Cameron orders (bend over, spread them, etc).

Personally, I think Summer is very hot, and she is excellent for this tv series.. playing Cameron, but I'm wondering for the next half of the episode ,,would she and john be lovers.
And I hope this tv series will be out on dvd soon

I should warn you, I've seen the pilot ep and I can't help but wonder if Skynet's messing around with the past to ensure its future has spawned another resistance.
As you know from Termintaor 2, the T-800's CPU is a neural net processor that was set by Skynet to "read-only" when sent out into the field. Skynet is a singular consciousness that knows no equal and demands total control. Suppose, that in its efforts to ensure humanity's destruction, it ended up creating another enemy? In the pilot episode, Cameron never says straight out that she was reprogrammed. She told Sarah that "I was sent here to protect John--" and is cut off by Sarah. When she was at the bank and demanded everyone to get on the floor, she said "please." She talks as if she's part of the resistance, not merely a tool with words like "one of our best engineers," "a way back home." It's almost as if (and I'm not sure how much of it is Summer Glau's performance or the script) Cameron is holding things back and is hinting at them. When Sarah told her to go to hell after bringing up her fiance, she almost seems hurt. Later, when Sarah tells her that they're going after Skynet, she almost smiles--as if she has finally been reunited with an old friend. I could easily be wrong though.

I think it's quite annoying how sarah keeps pulling cameron about, slapping her around and yet cameron flops around like a person. And then there was the scene where sarah and john pick her up and sit her on the chair.
To be more believable as a terminator she definitely needs to weigh more.

It seems she is trying to collect parts to build a terminator and/or design skynet.
At the end of episode 6 it is shown that reese did kill andy, yet he left without taking the computer, turk. Who did take the computer? She seems to be expressing grief for killing the T-888 She looks about to smother reese with the pillow before Sarah comes in (she is worried he will recognise her, as he obviously does?) The title introduction says Skynet sent back some to kill john, one to help - implying Skynet sent her back.

Really, I forgot how awesome Illyria was, but she's impressed me too, when I used to watch Angel. I've never been a fan of the show as much as Buffy, but she made me love the fifth season. They both : - Kick some bad guys' ass - Don't really belong to our human world - And so have great one-liner dialogues - Used to work for Evil - Are now Good but not too much, in fact - Are meant to be asexual life forms - But have a sexy female body - (With nice average-sized breasts) - Have cool long hair - Have "blue" eyes (Cameron's robotic eyes can glow in blue) - Have a very cute face when they're not trying to look scary - Have cool semi-combat outfits - Have potential partners for a complicated, forbidden romance (John Connor & Wesley Wyndam-Pryce) Also, Illyria is a God to demons, and kills other demons. How awesome is that ? Illyria is Cameron's best challenger. Is she her lost twin too ?Who would win in a fight ?

Since I'm a guy, I won't buy Cameron's clothes anyway, but I find her purple jacket very cool and I just wondered if it's on sale somewhere, and how much it would cost. (I could buy it as a tight present for a girlfriend anyway, haha !) Or is it custom-made ?
If you have any more info about her shoes, or anyone's clothes (like Cheri's maybe ? They look original), please tell me.

I'd like to see more fight scenes like the one in episode 2 when Cameron fights Vic in the resistance fighters apartment. I liked the way that Cameron was breaking the holds that Vic had on her and then hitting and kneeing him before he could pick her up and smash her through something. It seemed like she used more of a martial arts style in this fight, which I liked. It was way better than watching them take turns smashing each other through stuff. I know that’s how terminators fight, but I'd like that since she's "different" she would have more than a grab and smash fight style. I hope that they have an awesome fight scene between Cameron and Cromartie in the season finale.

Just like a lot of you I really, really liked Judd Apatow & Paul Feig's short lived dramedy Freaks & Geeks. It got me thinking of Cameron as the ultimate high school outsider and how they could play that up on this particular show.
If they could only get writers like Apatow and Feig to really flesh out the high school setting that Josh has chosen to set this world in (at least that's what it seems) and make it lovingly real and honest besides the obvious sci-fi genre angle of the Terminator universe. It's the ultimate setting where Cameron and to a somewhat lesser extent John and his nerdy friend Morris and misfit Cheri are like the weirdos trying to make it through the meat grinder that is high school and fit in. Obviously, Cameron and her learning human interactions and social skills as if she were an innocent, would be rife with possibilities given the high school scene. How would Cameron react to student hazing? Gym class (I could just imagine how she'd be in a serious game of dodgeball-- the most intense of all gym activities!)? Athletics? Parties? Beer runs? Dances and other social events? Cheer leading? Student/teacher interaction? One could have a field day with this stuff! Thoughts and opinions are welcome!

I suggest you rent the movie "Serenity" with Summer. It is awesome and has some great fight scene and good acting. I missed the series Firefly but will look for it on DVD after watching the movie. Highly recommended!!! - Ray

Cameron looked great in tights. Maybe she could join the cheerleading squad at school because she suspects one of the other cheerleaders is a terminator. Then they would break out in a fight in the locker room. They would wrestle around, but instead of killing her she would capture her and they would reprogram her. Then there would be two hot terminators. It would be the most watched show on tv.

The role of the Terminator was originally going to be portrayed by O.J. Simpson. But, according to Cameron in 1984,"people wouldn't have believed a nice guy like O.J. playing the part of a ruthless killer." LMAO
