I have started a discussion at the Producers Blog called "Mark of the Beast (666) from the Apocalypse" discussing how some aspects of the show line up and how other aspects may not line up with actual Biblical Prophecy predictions of the end of the age.
Would you allow someone to implant a microchip in your arm or hand? Since the Verichip implant can be used like a credit card, could it be the "Mark of the Beast" (666) predicted in the Book of Revelation heralding the arise of the Antichrist? Could the "Mark of the Beast" be a bar code on the arm or hand, or more disturbing, a microchip implant in your hand or arm? Come on by, I'd like to hear your comments!

I realize that no "final" verdict on the future of TSCC has been determined, but there are circumstances that FOX might want to consider before cutting TSCC loose. Les Moonvies at CBS is embroiled in several issues, the Couric will she won't she debacle, and substantial losses in profits at CBS, and the decline in the 18 to 49 viewership demographic. Obviously, with recession and increased gas prices, the possibility of more 18 to 49 year olds deciding to stay home in the evening would seem like an opportunity. Those in this demographic who are fleeing CBS (Moonvies is quoted as saying that only "one" of the new programs on CBS last season will be renewed, a sitcom that I found unwatchable) will be looking to other networks to fill the evening hours. Not surprisingly, CBS canceled one of the best sci-fi/action/drama series "Jericho", after fans demanded it be given another season. Anyway, there is a substantial market for the TSCC series, one that may increase given the present economic conditions that would tend toward increased viewership. The action and great production values of the series, the "hot" babes, and the contemporary themes of the series will attract the 18 to 49 demographic that advertisers seem to favor.
